In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

About this project

The purpose, motivation, and principles of this project

Gratitude is due to God, Mighty and Majestic, whose obedience brings nearness and in whose gratitude lies an increase of blessing. Every breath that goes in sustains life, and when it comes out it refreshes the soul; thus, in every breath there are two blessings, and for every blessing gratitude is due.

What hand and tongue could ever succeed
in fully rendering the thanks that are His due?

— Saadi, Preface to the Golestan

Boundless praise and gratitude are due to God, the Exalted, who bestowed His favor upon me and made possible the fulfillment of one of my long-held aspirations: that I might be granted the opportunity, to the best of my ability, to translate and compile the Book of God, the Holy Quran.

I regard this opportunity as coming from God—not in the sense of claiming that I received any direct or outwardly manifest authorization from the Lord, but because, over the course of my life, circumstances, opportunities, hardships, and trials were placed before me that guided me toward this path. It is a path that I hope will bring me closer to the way of the righteous and the patient, the Emigrants and the Helpers, those who strive, and the believing men and women.

If God accepts this effort, I hope that I will have taken even a small step upon the straight path. By God, had it not been for His guidance, I would not be on this path; and had it not been for the help of the Almighty, I would not have had the ability to undertake even the smallest action in this endeavor. Therefore, whatever good there is in this work, I see as coming from God, and in all matters of life I also await His relief and deliverance. God willing.

I hope that the readers of this website will benefit from this translation and compilation of the Holy Quran in a sound and proper manner, and that God Almighty will grant all of us the path of guidance, so that we may attain salvation.

One of the most important motivations for creating this website is the effort to provide the most accurate possible translation of the words, expressions, and meanings of the verses of the Book of God. The aim is, as far as possible, to convey the meaning of the Arabic text into the target language with precision and fidelity.

Nevertheless, I do not consider this work immune from error, nor do I claim that it is flawless. If, in any part of the translation, you find a more precise meaning, a better suggestion, or a point that should be corrected, I would be very grateful if you would share it with me through the Contact section.

I wholeheartedly welcome every constructive criticism, correction, and suggestion, because the purpose of this project is not to establish a personal opinion, but to strive for the most accurate possible understanding and transmission of the Word of God.

وَمِنَ اللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ
And success is from God.
